雖然我也認為英文比日文重要，不過因為是辯論的關係，在訓練口才與思路，所以也可以來＂為賦新辭強說愁＂一下。
(1) Although English is an international language, Janpanese is a
business. Many companies in Taiwan do business with Japanese
people.
(2) Japanese culture has much impact on Taiwan. It is the country that
most Taiwanese people visit most every year.
(3) Japan is more friendly with Taiwan than those English-speaking
countries.
(4) It is easier to learn Japanese because there are many Chinese
characters in the language. Many of the sounds are even similar to
Chinese words.
(5) Geographically speaking, Japan is closer to Taiwan than any other
developed English-speaking nations in the world.
(6) Japan is good at science. Learning Japanese helps us understand
how Japanese people succeeed in the development of science.

..Japanese is very important.
The first reason is for the development of high-tech business and manufacture in Taiwan. The most of techniques and patents about making high-technology materials or equipments are owned by Japanese companies. Like the patent of white-light LED or the manufacture process of silicone belong to Japanese companies. If we want to develop some kinds of business of high-technology, we must negotiate with them. Like the listed company(上市公市) TOPCO(崇越科技), it stands as an agency in Taiwan for ShinEtsu(信越) to sell raw material silicon wafer and the other chemicals used in semiconductor manufacturing process to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation(台積電).
Actually, in any Science park you can find the Japanese is more useful than English. Because the raw materals and equipment are bought from the Japan. And some consultant are Japanese employed by famous high-tech company of Taiwan.
The second is that the culture of Japanese. You can see all most manga and anime are translated from Japan. And Some soap opera is televised in Japanese original sounds. Not to say some facy purse and clothes are the brand of Japan. Because in the last decade the strong economy of Japan makes Japanese to pursue the enjoymnet of spirit and art. 參考資料：
